The Student Service Coordinator is responsible for aligning instructional and related services for students through the IEP Process. The Student Service Coordinator will coordinate the delivery of special education services through consultation with various school team members, parents, and outside providers. The Student Service Coordinator is also integral in monitoring PLAAFP, ensuring the relevance of goals/narratives prior to system entry, and representing the iCan Dream Center at IEP Meetings.
This role will report to the Chief School Officer.
KRA Results Area # 1: Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with families, district partners, and service providers
- Represent iCan Dream Center at community events, fairs, and partner meetings to support enrollment and partnerships
- Coordinate and facilitate prospective student tours, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience
KRA Results Area #2: IEP Compliance & Instructional Alignment
- Ensure all student files, IEPs, and documentation meet compliance standards and deadlines
- Review and validate PLAAFPs, goals, and narratives for accuracy, relevance, and alignment prior to system entry
- Collaborate with instructional staff to align services, accommodations, and supports with student needs
- Provide instructional support, including modeling strategies or lessons when needed to ensure student success and appropriate classroom ratios
- Use student data to inform programming decisions, service delivery, groupings, and professional development needs (e.g., RSP Bootcamps)
- Lead multidisciplinary and related service team meetings to ensure staff are informed, aligned, and prepared for upcoming IEP meetings, while facilitating the review and analysis of both new data and anecdotal classroom insights.
Key Results Area #3: Data Analysis & Student Outcomes
- Monitor and track student progress toward key initiatives (e.g., 100% Initiative, ESY Justification, high school credits, DRS, PACE)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student data systems and records
- Support the analysis of student performance and behavioral data to identify trends and inform interventions
- Onboard new students and follow up with families of newly enrolled students to support onboarding and engagement
