Meet Taryn: Changing the World of Early Childhood One Connection at a Time

At iCan Dream Center, we believe in the power of lived experience—and Taryn, one of our valued behavior specialists, is a beautiful example of what’s possible when inclusion and purpose collide.

Taryn is autistic. She is also an effective educator, a trusted teammate, and a daily source of light and learning for our early childhood students. Her presence in the classroom is more than supportive—it’s transformative.

Taryn brings compassion, insight, and a deep well of empathy to her work. Her ability to connect with students—especially those navigating communication or sensory challenges—goes beyond strategy. It’s personal. It’s intuitive. It’s powerful.

Taryn understands what it means to feel unseen or misunderstood, and because of that, she creates space where our students feel safe to express themselves, grow emotionally, and build the foundations they need for lifelong success. She models emotional regulation, uses proactive behavioral strategies, and encourages every child to thrive in their own way.

But her impact doesn’t stop with the students. Taryn shows our families and team what inclusion in action looks like. She challenges outdated ideas about autism and professional capability just by being herself—competent, compassionate, and committed. Her presence sends a powerful message: not only can neurodiverse individuals achieve meaningful careers, they belong in spaces that shape the future.

We are endlessly proud to have Taryn on our team. Her story is a reminder of why we do what we do—and of the beautiful things that happen when organizations intentionally include, empower, and uplift voices that have too often been left out.

Thank you, Taryn, for being exactly who you are. You are making dreams come true—every single day.
